Our mission is to produce high quality contemporary musical theatre and to be a champion of new and non-mainstream work.

Established in 2014, Theatre1 formed to bridge the gap between youth theatre and adult societies. With a vision for creating highly physical, complex musical works, our style attracts aspiring professionals, drama school students and recent graduates, along with dedicated amateur performers.

Principally working in Stafford and the surrounding area, we produce work most often for studio theatre spaces in a contemporary ensemble style. Our programme features highly acclaimed contemporary work, much of which enjoyed successful runs in off-Broadway and off-West End venues.
